We work with property management companies (PMC) and they deal with several properties and owners. Many or most times they will instruct us to do work at a property and bill the owner at the PMC location. We set up Bill to’s to accommodate the one customer and sever properties and names. Technically, the PMC wants all documents to reflect the owner, which includes the releases. Spectrums releases uses only the customer numbers name, not the Bill to name. There should be an option, to select, to use the Bill to as the customer name on the releases and not to whom the customer number is. Being told to set up a new customer, change it for that one release, and change it back, to me defeats the purpose of Bill to’s and opens up potential errors. Not only that, you now have another new customer to deal with and employees using it to set up new jobs. Yes, you can set them to inactive but if someone does not check, you now have created another customer.
