Idea: AR - Change Request log showing "rejected" change requests in proposed change area
More information: The customer would like a rejected status for change requests added as an action type. Please see the customer issue and business reason for the enhancement:
Yes we really need to have this change request log enhanced. As stated below, the report is pulling the rejected change requests (due to the system looking for the action and not the status code) into the total of the proposed changes in the current contract status summary box at the top. Plus those same rejected CR’s are being included in the detail section of the log under the Proposed Change Requests. The later issue can be solved by filtering out the rejected status code, however the amount of the rejected CR’s are still included in the Proposed Change total in the summary box.
The business reason we need this enhancement is because we run the CR Log for our weekly job Owner/Architect meetings and review the report in detail. The proposed changes are a critical piece of the weekly evaluation by all parties to take into account the potential dollar value of changes that are currently under review. This is helpful to the Owner so he/she can measure needed/desired changes against their total budget and make approval or rejection decisions accordingly. The fact that the report is adding in the rejected CR’s into the proposed CR totals in the two areas of the report, it ends up overstating the true amount of the proposed changes so therefore there is the potential for incorrect decisions to be made.
