I would like to request that there be an option in the Vendor Installation setup to make it standard when setting up a New Vendor that the box (see below) have a check mark in it for 1099-Misc applicable. Currently there is no check mark. This means you have to manually check it each time you setup a new Vendor. Therefore, you could easily setup a new vendor and forget to mark it 1099-Misc applicable and the box would not be checked. At year end, I would like to be able to run a report of ALL vendors with the box checked to ensure that ALL 1099 Misc applicable vendors are handled appropriately.
We try to obtain W-9 Forms for all companies prior to setting them up in Spectrum, but there are times when a vendor must be setup prior to receiving the W-9, and in those cases it would be possible to set them up and not remember to check the box.
