User Preferences - ability to maintin Status selections to 'Last Used'

many users in different areas of our company would like to see some sort of user preference for the status selection. An enhancement idea is to make this a user preference to set the default status selection to the system default or to the users last selections. An example is in employee search, user needs to see only terminated employees which is unchecked by system default, so they check the terminated box, then in the search window they click find the employee go in and preform their task, click the switch button, they then have to go back and change the status to only terminated, search again each time they need to find a new employee.
