Quick Jobs - Counter Stops

Currently we are entering our jobs manually through quick jobs, meaning our people have a list of job numbers they pull from and turn in a sheet for entry.   What I have noticed, if I enter a job out of order, the counter stops at the last number, computer generated, job number.   This will be a problem when we start having our people select from Spectrum.  We have people, no mater what, they type all everything, just to be sure.  We have another person, who is not in the office very much,  keeps a list of number on hand and then comes in the and enters his jobs.  If he does not enter them in sequence, then his counter will be wrong and I don't really want to correct it all the time.
