HR - 'Goes By' Name Field

We would like a 'Goes By' name for Spectrum. This field would replace the first name reference for an employee. We use the name information to flow down to cell phone contacts, newsletters, directories, reports, etc... It would be great if they can designate their 'Goes By' name in an official field. We currently handle this in UDF.

Example:

William Shakespeare

Goes By: Bill

  In 2020 R2, we added the concept of the Legal Name. The existing name field remains at 30 characters and is used for all reports etc.

  The Legal Name displays on the Info Bar - so you can add the goes by name here and have visibility to it.

  I was just going in here to add this as a request - but for us it is more for the reports that are generated out of the system such as RFI's or Submittals - as of right now it prints the employees name from the payroll module but a lot of our employees don't go by their first name and a lot of our employees don't want their whole name (middle included) printed onto RFI's and submittals. This is very important to us due to the fact that the level of fraudulent activities are up right now so our employees don't want people to have their full name - but we need to use their full name on their employee set up since it is related to tax documents for W-2 purposes.
