AR CHANGE REQUEST AUTO POPULATE BILLING ITEM TO PHASE

Enhancement request:  

AR Change Request Entry:

1. First you enter the Contractor Pricing.  You select a new phase by creating one but you do not assign a schedule of value or billing item number for the phase becuase you have no way of knowing when this will be approved and become a change order so you leave the billing item blank.
2. Now, say you get the change order and you revisit the change request entry you made for Contractor Pricing to enter the billing item number as you will now be able to select the next billing item number in line for this change order.  However, the system will not allow you to change the billing item number or enter one from this screen.  So, your choices are to get in add mode to be able to window on the phase to get to maintenance from there to add the billing item number, which creates a line of data that you will have to delete from the contractor pricing or exit & go to job cost maint phase setup and enter the billing code there & then return to the change request & proceed with the entry.

A Better Way:

A better way would be for the billing item number you select during the Change Request Revenue Detail Entry to auto populate as the billing item for all of the phases that you specified in the contractor pricing for this change request.

OR

Change the screen for the Change Request Revenue Detail Entry to show both the Change Request Contractor Pricing AND the Change Request Revenue Detail Entry
