AR Payment History - Transaction Types

It would be nice to have the transaction type code display in payment history.

For example, if I need to make an adjustment (net out an invoice and credit), I go to AR / Cash Receipts/ and enter a zero dollar check.  I use the transaction type AD (for Adjustment) and a reference code is automatically assigned to the transaction.

When I look in AR / Contracts / Payment history, the automatically assigned transaction code is listed as a check number.  It can be difficult to identify what are real payments versus the netting of a credit and an invoice.  Some customers have low check numbers that are very similar to the current transaction code that is automatically assigned by the system.  Using my example, if AD could precede the transaction reference, it would help when reviewing payment history.

  Or somehow have the ability to mark these as "internal" applications and then on the reports have an option to exclude internal applications.
