This is an enhancement request submitted for Horizontal Boring based on my discussion with Lynne Underwood.

Both the Insurance Codes and Insurance Schemes allow for a setup of a rate table indicating which type of insurance and plan is available. There is no way to associate an Employee with a plan type and rate in the Employee Management Insurance tab. I attached the DCI recommended settings.
 
In order to create data necessary for an insurance census report, there needs to be multiple insurance codes and schemes setup, i.e. one setup for PPO-Employee, PPO-Emp+Child, HMO-Employee, etc. This makes for a redundancy and really ignores both of the rate tables available in the setup of schemes and codes.
 
A table cross reference key needs to be added to the Insurance code so that key can be inserted into the Employee Insurance plan information.  It would be nice to add the Employee Add-On/Deduction code or HR Benefit Code to the Insurance Code/Scheme. Then each code we’ve created for the deduction is attached to the insurance plan information.
 
Example:
Insurance Scheme:
PPO: Preferred, Cobra
HMO: Standard, Cobra
Insurance Code:
Employee (Add-on/Deduction Code XX), Employee + Child (Add-on/Deduction Code XY) for all 5, usually 4, fields.
