batch scanning in DI for po receiving entry

We have an issue with a black hole of our invoices. We purchased DI to solve this issue and it does for Invoices without a PO but doesn’t for Invoices with  a PO. 60 percent of our invoices have a PO. If an invoice doesn’t match a PO then it can’t be received in PO receiving entry until the PO or invoice is corrected. We would like to be able to open the mail and scan all the AP invoices received for the day to an unsigned invoice batch. Then as the PO receiving is corrected or entered straight into AP invoice credit memo entry it is attached to the screen. We can then run "unassigned invoices" reports for a "ap invoices not entered". Currently we hold on to the piece of paper until we can enter and the invoices are lost etc...This would also eliminate our manual spreadsheet of ap invoices not entered. This would help with knowing our up to date cost.
