Termination Date, Reason and rehire rating

Currently when terminating an employee, the latest termination date defaults to the current date. We would like the system to automatically advance the cursor to the "Latest termination date" field once a Terminated Status has been entered. Usually the termination date is not the current date, and it can be easy to forget to advance to that field to modify the date. We're ok with it defaulting to today's date (that ensures there is at least a date entered in that field), but we'd like for there to be some sort of prompt to the user to update it to the correct date.

Additionally, we like the idea of a termination reason and rehire rating. The problem is that these are on the Personal Info screen. If terminating an employee, we would like a prompt to come up, requesting a "reason" and "rehire rating". The user may leave blank, but this would allow them to populate that data on the Personal Info screen without having to remember to actually move over to that screen. I like the reason and rehire rating to remain on the personal info tab for security purposes, but populating the information is not as easy when it is on this screen.
