Idea: AP: Subcontractor Change Orders Out Of Sequence

More information: Per Sharepoint Project A/R Date Sensitive Change Order and Sub CO Forms AR-10660 specifications in the case where there are two change orders with the same origination date, always include the other change order in ‘previous total.’

Likewise, in the case where there is a change request with an approval date matching the change order origination date, always include the change request in ‘previous total’

Also, the software will not attempt an arbitrary determination of which change order was ‘originated’ earlier in the day:

The customer would like to submit an enhancement request so the change order number and change request number will be considered if the same origination date is used. Please see the change order forms in this incident to see all change orders dated 03/07. The previous totals are incorrect since for these change orders since they are all dated the same.

Subcontractors can refuse change orders/change requests not containing the correct financial information since these documents could be considered legal documents. If the document with the incorrect information was to hold up in court the subcontractor could be out the amount of the change orders not listed in the previous totals.

Also, change requests / change orders should be calculated based on execution date since many larger change requests/ change orders can be revised several times before they become official. The customer would then have to change the origination date of the document which would then technically not be correct. They would need to keep record of actual origination and execution dates in case they need to submit this information for litigation.
