Idea: AR - Adding a phase field to the schedule of values

More information:
We would like to have the ability to link phase codes and bid items at the bid item level instead of the phase code level. Our projects usually have more bid items than phase codes, i.e. we would have multiple excavation bid items for the various buildings on the project but we track all costs associated with excavation in 1 phase code. This is just one example. We have several other cost phases that would be extremely burdensome for our field reps to track based on the bid items (assuming at minimum we would have a 1 to 1 relationship between phases and bid items).

As it stands now, by creating the link at the phase code, we can only capture the revenue for 1 bid item.

We use this function frequently in reporting to answer the question: how much have we billed against excavation or yard piping, for example, and what is our cost to date for those respective items.

I hope this email properly explains our business needs and how it conflicts with the way Spectrum currently handles this function.
