I'm not sure if this same issue we are having, but right now we have the government asking us to break out all our garnishees into separate cheques. When payroll is run and we process the A/P payment, it lumps all the garnishees on that pay run onto one cheque. We'd like the ability to break them out without having to create a new vendor for each and every single garnishee order we get. Our vendor list will continue to grow and make it more confusing. We have not tried out the alternate payee yet but will be testing it out soon. I'll add an update here once we try this method.
