Enhancement - Equipment Life Cycle and Maintenance Cost Enhancement request

Product: Equipment Control

Idea: Equipment Life Cycle and Maintenance Cost Enhancement request

More information: We are looking for a way to track the life cycles of our equipment and specific components of each piece of equipment.  For example, engines, transmissions, hydraulics and tracks.
Each manufacturer has projected life cycles for each of these items and each model they offer.  Currently the areas within Spectrum that might track this info would require adding, potentially, hundreds of
Tasks (Preventative Maint) or Warranty types.  It would be great if in the equipment control setup there would be an area where we could just enter hours/mileage life cycles, given to us by the dealer at the time of
purchase, that would be specific to that piece of equipment.  And then that info be compared to the hour meter readings posted in Spectrum and then a report be available where we could choose an exception, like the PM Schedule Report.  So if wanted to see everything that was within “80%” of its life cycle, the report would generate, as an example.

I would also like to see where we can track parts and labor costs on preventative maintenance work orders, by task.  We go to the point of adding tasks to a work order, but when invoices/parts and payroll/labor is input into the system, it only asks for the work order, not the task.  This may be an added step for some companies to add these tasks for data entry, but we have always done it.  Unfortunately it stops there.  If we want detailed cost on a specific task, we have to pull copies of time tickets and invoices and manually add them up.  It is a time consuming task, that makes no sense when it could have been tracked during the initial data entry process. It would be similar to job cost; job # and phase #............ work order # and task #.
We have been using Spectrum for over 20 years and have asked about this a few times.  As an excavating contractor, our second most important asset, only behind our employees, is our equipment.  We run a strict maintenance program and are trying to find ways to easily manage repair cost, equipment purchasing and the rate of return, without spending time and money on office labor and paper, running multiple reports and spreadsheets.

One more note, I would like to request that on the Warranty report, that you add the current hour meter reading.

Thank you for your time.
