Enhancement - FW: pulling over COD tickets so I can create invoices.....any idea?

Product: Material Management (formally Scale Interface)

Idea: FW: pulling over COD tickets so I can create invoices.....any idea?

More information: Joe would like to request an enhancement to the behavior of customer special pricing (in both Materials Management | Maintenance | Customer Contract | Special Pricing and Inventory Control | Maintenance | Customer Special Pricing) to make it more consistent.

If you create a special price using pricing method "Price" the system will allow a blank amount, and will not charge anything. This does not pull a default from the customer contract or the inventory item.
If you create a special price using pricing method "Discount", the system will allow a positive, blank, or negative multiplier and will apply that to the price level set on the customer contract.
If you create a special price using pricing method "Price table code", the system will allow a blank price level code and will fail any imports using this at the PROIV kernel level. It does not look at the level on the customer contract if left blank.

In all three methods, the system will allow blank items or invalid items without warning. Each method is also inconsistent with how it looks back (or does not) at the customer contract. "Price" and "Price Table Code" do not reference anything other than what is keyed into the special pricing, while "Discount" will reference the pricing set on the customer contract.

There needs to be some kind of warning message that the fields cannot be left blank or some documentation explaining how transactions will be affected if left blank. It would be preferable if the special pricing would default to whatever is set up on the customer contract which can then be modified as needed and not allow a necessary field to be blank.
