Idea: Enhancement - Liimit writing costs to jobs until end of WF process

More information: Enhancement Request: Enhance controls around creation of job in workflow, so that jobs cannot be partially entered prior to costs being entered on job. Would like to have jobs set to complete status when beginning the workflow, instead of inactive.

Business Case: Although the job is set to inactive status, can still have costs written to it. Would like to use Workflow to channel the task of entering job information to specific users. However, some of those users will not have an incentive to finish entering the information about the job unless there is an actionable consequence. Also, these users do not have authority to change the job status. The ability to have costs entered would be an incentive for these users to complete their tasks.

Although we can change the workflow definition so that another user can update the status to closed, that adds to the administrative overhead of the job. Also, costs and commitments can still be entered on the unapproved job while it waits for a status change in the workflow queue.
