Dear Viewpoint Suggestion Box contributor;
We at Viewpoint sincerely thank you for your contribution to Suggestion Box on how we can improve Viewpoint products. While we can’t do everything at once, we rely upon your feedback to help guide the prioritization of our product improvements, and Suggestion Box is a critical tool for us to understand and prioritize our customers’ needs.
Viewpoint reviews Suggestion Box regularly for all of our products and updates statuses, adds comments, and performs various house-keeping (including deleting) as needed to ensure that Suggestion Box is maintained as a productive environment for product enhancements requests.

From reading over all the Work Order requests, some things are obvious. (1) The functions of Work Orders are not clearly understood by Viewpoint, as having a UNIVERSAL PURPOSE of Managing Work. (no matter what kind of Work) (2) The different modules that include Work Order functionality were developed by different Teams or Management leads, and then patched together with no common purpose or understanding of the UNIVERSAL FUNCTION of Work Orders.
There are differences on what info is required on a WO depending on the Type of Work, Own Equipment Service, Client Equipment Service, Job Phases on Projects etc. But the execution of the actual Work is the same, (1) Availability of Resources (LEMS) (2) Work Location, (3) Prioritizing, (4) Scheduling, (5) Completing etc. etc.
Work should all start with a Work Order, and depending on the Work Type selected, The Client, The Job, Own Equipment etc. the available WO fields should adjust accordingly, and the "work flow" that the WO ends up in.
PS Work on Jobs does not necessarily need WOs, unless that is the preferred Work Management method.
