Work Order \ G/L Department Validation

I would like to see Work Order Department validated to the G/L department similar to Job Cost.  We are not on the Enterprise Version and do not have Cost Centers but I do uave multiple G/L deparments and divisions.  Since we switched over to the enhanced Work Order Module we have lost the ability to validate the G/L department to the Work Order.  Now many transactions that are being posted to Work Orders through Purchase Order, Accounts Payable and payroll are getting posted to the wrong department code.  My departmentalized Financial Statemets now are not accurate.  This is a big problem when a persons perfornance and bonus is ied to their departments profitability.
