Many great things have happened in our company with the Service Tech module.  One of the issues though is being able to deselect from billing the time entered by techs in the field that needs to be paid to them.  There are two reasons we have for this process. 

1 - If we need to separate the WO up into two or more invoices because the customer needs to see things broken out.  This is a common issue, and it does have work arounds like changing the billing hours on the unwanted labor on the first invoice and then entering billing hours only entries on the second one.  This is ugly, time consuming, and leaves room for more errors.

2 - If we need to close the work order without billing for the hours we are stuck.  We are unable to use the close WO function as time is 'selected' for billing.  Sometimes we determine that we just aren't going to bill for something and it needs to be closed out.  If there is time on it and we still choose to do this, we are stuck.  I suppose I could erase all the billing hours and make it into a zero dollar invoice, but that isn't how I would like to function...

So - what do I suggest?  Build another button in the upper right hand corner that holds the history or pre-timecard entries.  I don't care what you labeled it, entered, deselected, FT hours, etc.  I would also add another button instead of delete and probably call it de-select or remove.  Any labor that has been entered (whether it has been transferred to payroll or not) could be removed for the billing list and held apart for future selection.
