Ability to enter Auto Deposit for NEW employees during payroll cycle

We would like the ability to set the status of a NEW employee's auto deposit to Yes (active) regardless of whether a payroll cycle has been set or not. Currently, when we attempt to set a new employee's auto deposit to active once checks have been calculated, we receive the error: "No changes to auto deposit status until a new payroll cycle is set". This makes new employee setup difficult when we have a large number of employees to set up, who don't start until the following week, but we're in the midst of a rather large payroll batch.

The help file states: After the checks are calculated, this status cannot be changed to or from Yes until the current Payroll cycle is cleared for the next cycle. This protection assures that an employee won't receive a printed check and an auto deposit payment in the same pay cycle. However, if you are adding a new employee, this restriction obviously does not apply.

The help file states the restriction does not apply if you're adding a new employee, but it appears that restriction still holds. If the employee is NEW, we would like the capability of setting up their auto deposit.
