Payroll in Progress Showing on Contract Status / Job Overview Reports (Wants date sensitive unposted)

After installing the new updates to Spectrum (14.13 and 14.14 at the same time), I now notice that if I click the option for "Payroll in Progress" to be included on the Contract Status Report or the Job Overview Report, it includes all pre-time cards, regardless of the date that I choose when running the report.

For example, when I am trying to run these reports for month end (11/30), it is including unprocessed payroll from December. Previous to these updates, these reports would only show pre-time cards up through 11/30 if I were to run this report. I would prefer that this go back to the way it used to be as I now have to be very careful to unclick that box when running reports for month-end. Every other time of the month, I do need to see the unposted payroll on those reports, so I will now have to switch back and forth between this option depending on what I am using these reports for.

Either way, I see no reason why someone would want to see December time showing up on a November report, so this seems more like a software bug to me, but when calling the support line, I was told that this was done on purpose, and was forwarded to this enhancement forum.

  Let me explain why we won't undertake this one...

  Unposted transactions only exist until they are posted. We do not have a history of unposted transactions...we only store them when they are posted.

  In Spectrum 2020 R2, we have added a new warning message on the Contract Status Report to alert the user that unposted transactions are not date sensitive.
