We have full coverage service contracts that our clients want to get a zero dollar invoice for all service work we do for them that is not chargeable to them (since work is included in full coverage service contract). We also, want the ability to see this in a/r history as a no charge invoice (or zero charge invoice/zero bal invoice) Many times our customers ask if we have sent them their proof on service calls (work order copies do not suffice) - if this were in the a/r history we could resend them the zero balance invoice proving the work was done. right Now in order to get the invoice in a/r history, we have to charge them 1 cent and then write off the 1 cent. If we had an option to post the "costed" work order to invoice history or not - that would be great.
