business intelligence module

at present the business intelligence module is only available in the hosted mode where Spectrum hosts.  will this be available to others  if they are not utilizing Spectrum to host?

    The short answer is no.

    The long answer is that to provide the best experience and just have the system work, we require that we control the infrastructure and hardware. 

    There are several reasons for this:

    1. The ability to ensure connectivity, performance, and availability of the entire solution
    2. Incrementally add functionality by having control of all aspects of the integration within our environment.  Another way to say this is that we typically release new functionality each month.  
    3. Enables the opportunity for future integration that allows users to more easily move between Spectrum and other Viewpoint applications. 
    4. Free up clients IT to focus on adding business value and less on running software and infrastructure

    More often these days we are developing for the cloud as technology continues to move in that direction. The technology we use to develop some new products require we have more environmental/product controls. For example, both BI and Service Tech will have only 1 version. Custom programming is not an option. We’re creating one version of each of these products and that will allow us to quickly develop/release/enhance/manage and support them rather than supporting thousands of on prem versions.
