In the Vendor File under the Year End Reporting there should be a Yes and No check box that will show up on the Vendor File Listing report, so at the end of the year when preparing for filing 1099's I can tell what vendors are new and need reviewed prior to running the 1099's so we assure that we do not miss a company who should receive a 1099 but has not been selected. Currently I have no way of telling which vendors already have their tax numbers entered from this bucket report and must review each vendor file that is not selected yes.

I would recommend flagging all vendors as 1099 regardless of whether or not you add their SSN or Tax ID number. Then run the Vendor 1099 Report for exceptions only...you will see all vendors marked as 1099 that don't have their tax id information setup.
