From time to time a customer will ask us to pre-bill a portion of a contract (things like: Pr-ordered equipment, Engineering etc) when the contract has not been finalized.. The problem is, once we bill the job the base contract value is stuck. When the contract is finalized and entered, the billing looks wrong and the customer want us to change it. Now, we have to reverse all previous billings (usually out of month), zero out the apps, change the contract value and start over. All the ins and outs effect reconciliation and collections. I would like to be able to change the contract value and have it change on the invoice. I know it is a security issue but it is needed. As one option, have a button that will send it to my supervisor to approve the change before it will change on invoice.
