Currently we have several PR companies in spectrum - some employee's might move to other states, then are 'hired' by one of our other division/companies. Would be nice that if an employee code was entered it could not be used again on any spectrum company.

@Geoff - The way I read the question it says that the person would like the employee_code to be unique on the system and not in just one company. Then that one employee when "hired" by the other company would not get a new employee number. The way I see this is that when adding an employee, the system would validate that the employee number is unique, but when using the utility you mentioned, it would ignore that constraint and allow the employee_code to be copied to the other company.
