All purchase order receivers should accrue upon receipt. This is the only ERP that I have worked on (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft GP, Enertia, Syspro) that does not do this. It creates a problem in consolidated financial reporting. My consultant told us that PO receivers do accrue upon receipt for PO lines that are attached to a job.

Not sure of the year, but we released the ability to accrue receiving on job based PO's. This charges the job the cost assigned on the PO...and trues it up when the actual AP invoice comes in later.
