Our company is trying out the Payroll Time Entry module in Spectrum. Honestly, this module is great. However, there is one major problem that we've encountered. We have multiple operational locations within our company that require multiple pay cycle calendars. Payroll cycles are variable depending on location due to different union requirements. One local might require pay checks to be cut on Wednesdays, whereas another would require checks to be cut on Fridays. This currently requires us to duplicate our efforts. We would either have to create duplicate companies within Spectrum, or alternate back and forth between pay periods to decipher which time cards to export. In the back office setting, this is a messy process, but it could theoretically be worked around. However, in the field, with all of the moving parts, it is almost an impossible ask to have PM's and foreman switch between pay cycles to enter hours or view cumulative hours for their employees. Spectrum PTE only offers one calendar per company. We need two or more calendars.
One suggestion would be to make the cycle correlate with the division GL code?
Example,
We use 00-**** and 01-**** and so on, to differentiate between locations within a single company.
