The Service Request entry screen is problematic in regards to security. We have pretty strict controls over who can set up new customers and in most cases, users who can set up jobs or work orders would not be able to set up new customers. Disallowing a user the ability to set up a new customer does NOT prevent them from setting one up in Service Request, though. We were told this is by design. It seems that they intentionally (by design) do not want a new customer entered through service request to hit workflow as it's specifically designed for the "call-taker" to take incoming calls quickly and efficiently. We don't disagree with that; however, we'd like the flexibility to prevent someone from doing so if they should not have the security to enter a new customer as well as to set up a new work order.
