The jobs sort based numerically, but then it sorts those that have a letter at the end on their own. For example, jobs 1911-2210, are sorted above 1711C-2115C. When we are looking to assign a number based off what is next in line, we have to look in two separate spots. Whereas, if it sorted 1711C, then 1712, then 1713V, etc. it would allow for less mistakes of assigning the same job number twice (such as 1711 and 1711C).
