this is due to two different tables being used in these areas. The invoice history tables retain the original G/L date assigned to the invoice even if the G/L date is changed in the G/L Error screen during the update. The G/L tables get the revised date, but the A/P tables keep the original date.
My response was:
While I get that as a database guy our Accounting folks won’t (and don’t) get that. They aren’t interested in how the DB has to store stuff or what table it’s in, just that the dates are called the same thing and aren’t the same. To an accountant, that’s a big red flag and when they notice it, they get concerned.
Perhaps the original G/L date can be re-labeled in such a way as to avoid this confusion? It could be called ‘Original G/L Date’ or something similar?
