Currently, there is no easy was in the application to find a specific amount in the GL when you do not know which account it may reside in. I realize there is the GL Detail Analysis area, but there is no option to specify a unique amount, or a range. And, if I am lucky enough to find the transaction, oftentimes I want to see the other side of the entry, or the entire entry (if it was a multi-debit/credit entry), and there is no effective way to trace that. If I hit the Source button, it shows me where the individual entry came from, but not the other side of the (or other related) entries for that transaction. Currently, I use a Crystal Report with some manual editing and filtering when tracing individual transactions, which is much more time-consuming than having the ability to do so in-app.

Can someone adjust this from "already exists" due to my request on the comment last year?
I guess I don't see why making it easier than going through a couple steps is a bad thing... It is always much more time consuming to search through GL transactions in this system than my previous systems. Usually this stems from not being able to search effectively for the amount. Could someone at least add "Amount" to the Selections button/screen? And allow for a range of amounts from x to y?
In these situations, I recommend finding any one part of the transaction you can on the G/L Detail Analysis Inquiry screen.
All transactions are assigned a 'Control code'. This means that if you want to see the rest of a transaction and you only have part of it...you can find what you can. Then sort/group the screen by 'Control code' and you will see the entire set of transactions.
