Standard Cost in Payroll Changes

Direct Cost Adjustments and thier offset to Standard Cost Variances in non-direct costs do not post in the same GL period when using the Work Date Installation Setting and the payroll period crosses over GL Periods. If the actual cost is lower than standard, the direct adjustment is costed to the period in which the hours are coded while the variance is posted to the last day of the pay period in the next GL period. If the acutal cost is higher than standard, the opposite is true. This causes the GL and Job Costing to be imbalanced and makes the automatic accrual that Spectrum does worthless because we have to adjust the amounts with a journal entry.
