With executive order 13706 on Davis Bacon jobs, we are required to give 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked, up to 56 hours. Sick time in Washington has similar rules. With the EO, our PTO policy does meet some of these, as in when someone hits 1 year, they get 40 hours of PTO ... this can be counted towards the Sick time accrual under that EO.
I have spoken with Several people at Spectrum Support that have said that we have basically 3 options:
#1 Manually grant it every week.
#2 Give everyone in the company Sick time
#3 Do nothing.
As this is a legal requirement for specific job in specific locations, I would be nice if we could add this to specific jobs only. The simplest way to do this would be in the Union Set up. If we could just add the PTO line that just grants 1 hour for every 30 they work. This way we can be complaint.
This order took effect 01/01/2017. In the past 7 years, this has been a manual process to give people sick time. Please help make this a easier automated process.

Note: Executive Order (EO) 13706, Establishing Paid Sick Leave
for Federal Contractors applies to all contracts subject to the
Davis-Bacon Act for which the contract is awarded (and any
solicitation was issued) on or after January 1, 2017. If this
contract is covered by the EO, the contractor must provide
employees with 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours
they work, up to 56 hours of paid sick leave each year.
Employees must be permitted to use paid sick leave for their
own illness, injury or other health-related needs, including
preventive care; to assist a family member (or person who is
like family to the employee) who is ill, injured, or has other
health-related needs, including preventive care; or for reasons
resulting from, or to assist a family member (or person who is
like family to the employee) who is a victim of, domestic
violence, sexual assault, or stalking. Additional information
