Premium Pay seperation

I have recently been asked to separate "Premium Pay" from peoples normal pay. We have looked at doing this with all the current tools available. The best suggestion I have received so far was to use union set up and put it in there as an add on. But that isn't exactly what we are looking for.


What I have been asked to do was separate it out like this:

Regular rate * worked hours = normal pay

Premium rate * worked hours = premium rate paid.

So if they made $20/hour and we offered them a small bump in pay to go out of town on a special job ... they would see that extra pay on a separate line from their normal pay ... without adding extra hours. The Union set up doesn't work because there are over 300 employees with all different earning rate ... setting one up for every person in the company and changing it constantly with raises and such ... would be a nightmare.


At this time, I am fine with how we do it ... we just add the premium to their normal pay and it just shows as 1 line of pay. But I was asked to see if we could have this done.
