Allow Journal Entries to reflect in Bank Reconciliation

We use a payroll service outside of Spectrum. In our old ERP system, we used to be able to enter our payroll Debits and Credits to the appropriate GLs through a journal entry which would then reflect in the Bank Reconciliation process. We recently learned (we're brand new to Spectrum) that journal entries do NOT reflect in Bank Reconciliation, and we are having to find an overly complicated roundabout way to enter our payroll entries so we can Reconcile accounts monthly. Spectrum was supposed to make things run more smoothly for us, not add 50 additional steps just to complete a seemingly simple task.
