Could you add a "Termed with Severance" status with an ending date parameter that would allow payroll to process for that employee up through that date, then automatically move them to Termed after that date passes? Currently, when running payroll for termed employees to pay severances, Spectrum will return an error if the employee status is either 'terminated' or 'inactive'. This will be a great addition for companies that deal with auditors like ours to show that we are removing employees access in a timely manner while being able to complete their payroll.

This is an idea for how to manage it right now. My recommendation would be to create a new employee status to indicate this. I'd set it up as 'Active', but with a unique code...then you can periodically change them to terminated once payroll has been processed.
