Ability to charge internal equipment direct to a work order.

Currently we have to deploy internal equipment to a job number and then relocate the costs to a work order. Would be nice if we could deploy equipment direct to a work order number and not have to do a work around to charge the equipment to a work order.

    Geoffrey,

    The logical instrument is the same, whether in one set of Work circumstances you choose to call it a Work Order, and in a different set of Work Circumstances a Work Ticket etc.

    It is an instrument that identifies a “quantity” of Work, that can use (and identifies) ALL LEMS. (the resources to schedule) Then can carry that piece of Work all the way from Planning, Scheduling, Execution, Recording, Invoicing, or charging to Job etc.

    That would be whether the WORK is on Client Equipment, Own Equipment, or Civil or other Type WORK using Equipment and other resources. In some circumstances ALL LEMS types can be used on ALL TYPES OF WORK. (Construction, Maintenance, Services, whatever you choose to call it.)

    The deficiency with the Spectrum WO systems!!  Work can be done both "ON" Equipment and Work can be done WITH (using) Equipment.   So WORK ORDERS need to be able to carry ALL  LEMS (Labour, Equipment, Materials, Sub-Contractors) all the way from Planning, Scheduling, Dispatching, Execution, Recording, Costing, Invoicing.
