I keep reading that this can be accomplished with cost centers. It cannot. Here is the problem: We set someone up with their employee ID in Project Manager so they can see all jobs where they are the project manager. That works great. However, almost invariably, they will also need access to a job or two or three where they are NOT the PM in Key Personnel. I end up having to make them a second login for the jobs they need where they are not specified as PM. I would like to see the relationship between Project Manager and Master Job be an "OR" relationship, so we can use both fields to give specific access in these situations. We don't want users having access to all jobs in a cost center, unless they are a manager overseeing the whole cost center.
I find myself explaining this problem over and over and over and over to the users who need the access. They are not IT people and they don't understand why they need two logins. It makes me look like I don't know what I'm doing.
