Currently maxes out at 25 characters and you are very limited to what you can enter. There are many spots that I would suggest additional character space.

I agree. Another problem they have is that even when allowed a certain amount of characters to enter, even less characters show up in reports. In page style reports I understand it all needs to fit. But when exporting to Excel, all the data should come with it. In Journal Entry Description, it will allow 30 characters in the description. But will cut out five of them in a report. This is unacceptable. No other accounting software does this. If the column can be expanded, the information should all be there.
