Provide the Insert option in WO Material Entry. As there is a sequence field that puts these in order, having the abiltiy to Insert is important to keep materials grouped together for the customer.
When adding billing items in the W/O module under Materials, if you have a specific order your billing items need to be listed in, and you realize you missed an item, you have to delete everything up to the point where you need to add your missed item, and then re-add everything after that. There should be an 'Insert' option like in Excel. Also trailing on that same issue, the items should remain on the screen in the order you enter them; it currently re-orders everything which is extremely annoying when trying to check and make sure you didn't miss any items. It prints in the order you entered them, but as you are entering them, they move around and change order. You CAN click under Reports > Materials to view them in the order you entered them, but having to produce a report just to skim through what you have entered because the actual order gets changed on it's own for whatever reason is extremely annoying and a waste of time. There is NO reason items should just change order on their own unless you have something set up specifically to alphabetize or whatever... which there is nothing showing that. Maybe that should be an option in the settings; Click to list Materials entered in Alphabetical Order (Uncheck to leave items in the order they are entered).

So the request is more to have an Insert option in Material Entry. I am going to add a note to that so I'll remember this in the future.

Hi Geoffrey, I apologize... I don't know why I thought there was an insert button in the Material section of the WO module. I may have mixed that module up with another one, BUT my issue does still stand in that when entering Material items in the Spectrum WO module under Materials, if you enter, 25 line items (for example) and realize you missed one item, and that missed item needs to be the 5th line item listed on the invoice, you have to delete all items up to the place where that missed item needs to go, enter the missed one, and then re-enter the rest after that in order for the billing items to print on the WO Invoice in the correct order, which is also nearly impossible because the order changes so you have to jump around or delete ALL ITEMS and start over which leads to the other issue which is... as you are entering items in the same Material area; as you enter them, the order in which you see them displayed as you enter them is not the same order as you've actually entered them. For example... I may enter the Pool IA with Interior Color 1st, then the step measurements 2nd, then drains 3rd, then fittings 4th, then acid wash 5th, then slurry haul 6th into the material items for billing purposes. If I miss entering the line item for the drains, I can't just click 'Insert' or something like it to place the missed item accordingly so the invoice prints everything in the correct order... I have to basically delete everything and re-enter it all. Hopefully this makes sense, I know I rambled quite a bit.
Hello - I am confused, so I figured I'd reach out.
First, which Materials screen are we talking about? Is this in Spectrum's WO module or is this Service Tech Mobile?
I am confused as I don't have an Insert option anywhere...Sounds like you have found something cool - where is the Insert option available?
Second, and the heart of the issue, is that you want to control the display of the material item on the Work Order Form or the Finished Work Order Form or ??.
