Nearly all reports that are exported to excel (with the option export data only), column headers to do not line up with the appropriate column that contains the data. It requires several modifications. Reports need to be pulled and supplied to our parent company and also during our financial audit and the export data only function is needed to provide data in an organized, filterable fashion

As I have used this ability, I have found that I believe the problem is with Crystal and how it creates columns for the report header and page headers. and then tries to do the data columns. Column alignment in the report wreaks havoc on the logic of Crystal trying to figure out what goes where.
For reports that you use frequently, it is not too much effort to create a sheet that has a macro that will perform the manipulation of the columns. It is not perfect, but seems easier than trying to recreate the canned reports in a different tool.
So much time is wasted editing these reports into something usable.
Absolutely. I'm not sure if this is a Spectrum problem or a Crystal Reports problem, but it would be great if it could be fixed. Sometimes the header row is only off by one column so it's an easy cut and paste to move them, but other times the headers are all over the place.
I agree. This is a much needed improvement.
