The layoff check function in Spectrum is lacking to say the least... For anyone who may have to do multiple last minute layoff checks per week for out of state employees, printing a hard check or having foreman carry a check book is simply not an option. If you have a payroll in process in the pay cycle, to take it out and add in your layoff employees so they can get paid through direct deposit is simply ridiculous. There should be a separate cycle you can use to pay layoff employees direct deposit, day of, without having to mess with your regular payroll if it is already in process in the pay cycle.
