Doubtful we will ever expose an API that allows others to modify users and their security.
Instead, in 2020 R2, we have just released Single Sign In and Multi-Factor Authentication used with Azure Active Directory. To me, this is a much stronger method to control user access.
Today we are only working with Azure, but plan on adding others in the future.

It sounds more like a single sign on solution would be better here. This is something that is in the works currently so we can link with Team and other Viewpoint products...
