In Service Tech or just in Payroll you should have the option to pick B Shift or C Shift Differentials as Pay Types that could be set to % or flat rate. These would be the same as Overtime or Special Rate. Currently you have to figure out the rate and manually enter it.

I totally agee that there should be shift rate options as well. I keep getting e-mails from my employees telling me which shift they worked. PTE needs additional options.
Thanks for getting back to me. I looked at Pay Level and it is a set rate amount. If a person gets a raise then you have to make sure to come over to this field and update it accordingly. Ultimately I'd like to see where the Service Tech can designate hours worked to 2nd or 3rd shift on the table, and have those come through to payroll. At the same time, I'd like the ability to designate them when doing manual entries. It just seems like an oversight to set up the various pay types for OT, Double Time, etc. and not make two more for these entries that come up.
Hello!
Is there a reason why the 'Pay level' field won't work here? If setup properly, you will be able to default in the appropriate shift rate based on that level...
