When creating a PO, allow the user to copy a list of items in a column from excel and paste them. When you paste them into the item code, add the ! and set the quantity to 1 automatically. Also allow the copied excel cells to be pasted into the item description.

Check out the PO Import feature (PO | Data Entry | Import Purchase Orders). It uses a CSV file that can be created in Excel.
I'm shocked this hasn't been developed already and demanded from the community. Other systems allow for this function of import/copy. We have to hand key in hundreds of lines that are already in Excel format. How much time would be saved (and less typos) if this functionality is implemented. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get this functionality.
