a growing number of companies are implementing two factor authentication for their email servers, including us. We need the ability sync email with email 2fa turned on asap.

Any word if progress has been made on creating a fix for the email basic authentication deprecation by Microsoft?
this is not a solution for on-prem. microsoft will be turning off basic authentication starting q3 of this year.
Clients hosted by Viewpoint can use Azure SSO/MFA.
To get around this issue, use APP Passwords for just email. It's not super easy to setup, but if you must have access and 2FA is required, then this is an alternative. Adding support for 2FA within Spectrum will not be an easy solution since they have to work with many different vendors to enable support on specific platforms.
