They technically say that we can use our own judgement based on the physical appearance/ID. That doesn’t necessarily work for us though. We really need it more for the company so that we can determine the difference between decline to identify and if we truly failed to capture the data.
My only question is this: What does the US Federal Government say to do when the employee doesn't respond? I'd hate to add more classes that the feds won't recognize.
