Our payroll procedures have changed a lot over the past 7 years, including the addition of Employee Kiosk. New departments have been created that replace ones previously used. Unfortunately, because those departments can still be chosen in Employee Kiosk, we are dealing with errors because of the differing setups. We are not fans of deleting anything that has history, so we continue to make journal entries to correct (when we realize there's an issue), wasting valuable time and effort.

I agree! We have had to change department codes over the last 13 years and people do not seem to read "DO NOT USE". We desperately need to be able to inactive department codes.
Spectrum does a great job in helping us to work 'smarter, not harder'. Reducing the amount of JEs made in 2023 is our goal for the year. This is a great recommendation.
